The foundation of learned societies dates back to the thirteenth century when the greatest minds of that time were provided a platform for the distillation of the best ideas. Soon after, many other societies emerged and even today the significance of these societies cannot be negated. Keeping in view, The Physiological Society Pakistan was founded in 2019 by the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Life Sciences, Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF). The main objective of the society is devoted to promoting science, disseminating the research interests of professionals, assisting scholars to know the latest trends in the field, and increasing the public understanding of what distinguishes Physiology from other Life Sciences.
The dedicated website www.pspak.org is the sanctuary for anyone interested in studying and learning more about Physiology, whether you are a student, teacher, scholar, or a Life Science professional. Our culture is adaptable, comprehensive, and creative, which motivates physiologists from all over the globe to reach their full potential. Our goal is to create an environment where everyone thrives and feels a sense of belonging while giving physiologists equal opportunities to develop, learn, and advance. To empower diverse, productive, and vibrant physiological communities, we strive to inform and educate people around the world.
Since its foundation, The Physiological Society Pakistan has been expanding its horizons with each passing year. It has provided the students with a platform to explore and showcase their talent. Through its collaborations across the country and beyond the border, it has orchestrated my mind-boggling scientific events with meticulous planning and dedication. Not only it provides the opportunity for sophisticated scientific talks and events but through its other strategic approaches, it strengthens the link with society and boosts the creativity of students.
The Executive Faculty Members of The Physiological Society Pakistan make sure to lend help for structured academic, social-emotional, and future-planning support. It works as a brain and helps society gain new insights and advice to make society grow and achieve its goals. The executive council works as a spinal cord to relay messages between the advisory board and the proctorial board. It facilitates decision-making between board meetings or in urgent and crisis circumstances. Our proctorial board works as the main body to maintain discipline, gets tasks done, and takes action for troubleshooting against irregularities.
All of our actions and methods are guided by the shared mission that we have with the Department of Physiology, Government College University Faisalabad, Pakistan. We carefully consider how our actions will affect others and how we can use our services to benefit both the environment and society.
